#GivingTuesday 2021

Thank you for supporting John Howard Association for #GivingTuesday this year! #GivingTuesday is a global day of generosity designed to give back to those in need.

In addition, Friday, December 10th is JHA’s 120th anniversary! For more than a century, JHA has been monitoring prisons, exposing issues, pushing for transparency, and holding government accountable for how people in its custody are treated. You can take a look at some of the impact we have had over the years here.

Please donate to JHA below; if you are able, please consider a special donation this year in honor of our 120th anniversary. Some examples of what your donation could fund include:

• $12 could fund postage for 20 letters responding to communications from incarcerated people and/or their loved ones

• $24 could fund a train ticket to Springfield, IL to testify on prison conditions before legislature

• $120 could fund the monthly fee for statistical software used to analyze prison data

• $240 could help fund travel for monitoring visits in Southern Illinois

• $1,200 could fund staff leadership of a 3-day monitoring trip
