A Toast to Justice: The Costs of Incarceration May 23, 2023

This year’s Toast to Justice successfully raised more than $10,000 for JHA’s work! This year’s event featured guest speakers Jeffery Nesbitt and Kendall Collier, both of whom were incarcerated in Illinois. Mr. Nesbitt and Mr. Collier explored the tremendous costs and difficulties of obtaining basic life necessities in Illinois prisons. We also had the pleasure of being joined by U.S. Senator Dick Durbin at our event. JHA thanks its Young Professionals Board for organizing this event.
